In JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY, producer Sean S. Cunningham and director Adam Marcus pushed the Friday the 13th franchise in a bold new direction after the rights shifted to New Line Cinema. The story follows the seemingly indestructible spirit of Jason Voorhees as he “body hops” across victims on a violent path back to Camp Crystal Lake, while a relentless bounty hunter closes in. Infamous for its wild, creative detours and departure from the series’ usual formula, the film has since gained a cult following for its practical effects, inventive kills and ambitious world building with a certain Book of the Dead and razor-clawed dream demon.
